It’s safe to say that The Philadelphia Contributionship has successfully weathered turbulent times since Benjamin Franklin and his fellow firefighters founded the insurance company in 1752. We don’t go quite that far back with the Contributionship—but we have earned its respect and trust for our work through many years. So, when it came time to design the annual report for 2019, the company knew we could balance the year’s challenges—hurricanes, storms, sub-zero freezes, hailstorms—with the business’s trademark steadiness and forward-looking mind-set. We chose weather for the images, from stormy to cloudy to a pink-tinged “shepherd’s delight” sky as a background for the traditional weathervane symbolizing steadiness and adaptability. Forgive us for saying so ourselves but we think this approach is rather en-lightning.
